I desperately miss baseball, which is the soundtrack of my life. Here is a story about my adoptive team, the Texas Rangers. I expect a dogfight in the American League West division. The four teams—the Rangers, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the Oakland Athletics, and the Seattle Mariners—may finish within five games of one another. Texas has a good chance of coming out on top. The team has good young starting pitchers, a solid relief corps, hitting stars (Michael Young, Ian Kinsler, Josh Hamilton), and a crafty manager (Ron Washington).
