Just imagine how this editorial opinion would read if George W. Bush were still president. The New York Times treats Barack Obama with kid gloves. It makes you wonder whether the board members have any self-respect. Maybe they're racist. Racism consists in applying different standards to different races. It's racism if you hold nonwhites to a higher standard than whites, but it's also racist if you hold nonwhites to a lower standard than whites, for that implies that nonwhites can't achieve as whites do. Don't you love the irony?
