The founder of the Libertarian Party is dead. I was a card-carrying member of the party for one year while I was in law school. (I still have the card.) I voted for Libertarian candidate Ed Clark in 1980. By the time I entered graduate school in August 1983, I had gone to the other extreme and become a progressive, where I remained for two decades. I'm now a conservative.
