I leave you this fine evening with a column by David Corn, who mistakes opposition for hatred. What is it with progressives? They are so convinced of their own rectitude that they can't imagine anyone having different beliefs or values. If you differ with them, you must be either crazy, angry, or hateful. The fact is, many Americans believe that Barack Obama's policies are harmful to this country. Their opposition to his policies has nothing to do with race. In fact, more people like him because of his race than dislike him because of his race. So who are the racists?
Addendum: I don't recall Corn expressing concern about the Bush Hate Machine, which was 10 times worse than what he calls the Obama Hate Machine. Indeed, Corn was part of the Bush Hate Machine. That's another feature of progressivism: employing a double standard. Aren't progressives wonderful? The only good thing about progressives is that many of them eventually grow up and become conservatives.
