On this date in 1876 (135 years ago), George Armstrong Custer and all the officers and soldiers of five companies of the Seventh Cavalry were killed at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. I visited the battlefield in 1964 and 1989. I'm due back in 2014. (I'm on the quarter-century schedule.) Here is video.
