I'm looking forward to watching the Major League Baseball All-Star game this evening. Until 2010, the American League had been undefeated for 13 consecutive years. (There was one tie in that stretch.) Tonight, the American League gets back on track with a 7-4 victory. The Most Valuable Player is Adrian Beltre of the Texas Rangers (two home runs and two spectacular plays at third base). What say you?
Addendum: Derek Jeter has every right to skip this year's All-Star game. Fans have every right to register their displeasure by not voting for him next year.
Addendum 2: The National League won, 5-1. Prince Fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers was the Most Valuable Player. Three of the five Rangers played well. Josh Hamilton and Adrian Beltre singled (for two of the American League's six hits), while Alexi Ogando retired the two batters he faced. Michael Young struck out in his only plate appearance and C. J. Wilson gave up three runs (on Fielder's home run) and took the loss.
