To the Editor:

Re “Is Sex Passé?,” by Erica Jong (Sunday Review, July 10):

Has Ms. Jong ever considered that we might be just plain tired? And that lethargy alone may be the reason for the lack of interest in sex?

Women are working outside the home more than ever before; being paid less than, and getting less respect than, the other gender for those same jobs; and returning home to do more than our share of the housework and child-rearing. When did this responsibility—driving the sex life up in the bedroom—come to fall on women’s shoulders as well?

One more task on the list? Makes me tired even thinking about it.

Note from KBJ: This woman is not happy with the choices she made in life. Many of us are very happy with the choices we made.
