I'm almost 60 years old. Thank God I lived long enough to see a president who has contempt for the contemptible press. There is nobody more self-important than a journalist, so when President Trump assails journalists for their dishonesty and partisanship, they scream to high heaven as though they have been horribly treated. Keep it up, President Trump! We elected you to fight back against these cretins. (By the way, there is nothing "unAmerican" about defending yourself from scurrilous charges. What's unAmerican is making scurrilous charges. Journalists such as Chuck Todd have no shame.)
Addendum: What really pisses journalists off, besides the fact that Donald Trump is vastly more intelligent and successful than they are, is that Trump is a world-historical figure with real power and real responsibility, whereas they are little more than gnats. Nobody cares about gnats. Nobody remembers gnats.
