Yesterday evening, Katherine and I watched Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser (2015), which is the sequel to Joe Dirt (2001). Fourteen years between movies must be some sort of record. The movie was boring in parts (I almost fell asleep) and hilariously funny in other parts. My DVD says "Extended Edition," so perhaps that's the problem: footage removed from the theatrical version was left in. The scenes with Christopher Walken were funny, as was the bit about Lynyrd Skynyrd. There is nothing highbrow about these movies, but then, I'm not a highbrow guy. I'm a country boy who happens to have five college degrees.
