This story appeared in the Washington Post just a few weeks before the 2016 election. You may recall that Hillary Clinton was expected by most "experts" to win easily. She lost by 77 electoral votes. What interests me are the terms used to describe Bill Clinton's behavior. He is said to have committed "infidelities" and "indiscretions." There were "rumors of . . . womanizing." Hillary became aware of his "straying." He had a "sexual encounter" with Gennifer Flowers. Bill denied a "relationship" with Paula Jones. Monica Lewinsky "misinterpreted his attention." The women Bill abused, harassed, assaulted, exploited, coerced, or raped are described as making "allegations." They are "accusers," not "victims." And you wonder why Donald Trump calls the Washington Post and other "journalistic" outlets "fake news." This is propaganda in the service of progressivism. It has nothing to do with journalism.
