The fate of the National Football League, and of football generally, will be determined not by the owners, players, television networks, or politicians (such as President Trump), but by the fans. I, personally, am done with the NFL. I wasn't watching much of it anyway (mostly the Dallas Cowboys), but now I won't watch any of it. If Major League Baseball players start disrespecting the flag (and therefore this country and its people), I'll be done with baseball as well. I'm already close to eliminating baseball from my life, because of the instant replay, the incessant rules changes, and the insufferable pampered players. It will not be difficult to eliminate it altogether.
Addendum: Exactly. As usual, Donald Trump is five steps ahead of his critics.
