Donald Trump, representing the heart and soul of the Republican Party, wants us to believe that lower taxes on corporations and the rich will benefit everyone by encouraging hiring of more workers and buying of more goods. It’s a blatant lie, called the “trickle down theory,” put forth by the right-wing to support unlimited greed on the part of the powerfully wealthy. It’s plutocracy at work.

Firstly, studies indicate that “trickle down” is an economic sham. Secondly, vast wealth held by plutocrats affords “play money,” used to buy politicians and governments and to gamble big-time in investments, destabilizing the livelihood of millions.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin just has suppressed a Treasury report concluding that increased corporate profits go mainly to investors and upper management, with less than 20 percent going to benefit the workforce. This suppression is part of the lie, a Trump-GOP swindle of America. Shame.
