CNN is a joke. Day after day, week after week, the network's "reporters," "anchors," and "analysts" run down President Trump. Sometimes four or eight people are on the screen at the same time, bashing in unison, each trying to outdo the others. The modus operandi is to distort what Trump said (in a Tweet or otherwise) and then act outraged. "What a pig!" "What a liar!" "What a buffoon!" "How did such a racist / sexist / xenophobe / homophobe / pervert / bigot / jingoist get elected?"

Barack Obama got the benefit of the doubt. When he said something, CNN and other media outlets put the best spin on it, which made Obama look good. Donald Trump gets the detriment of the doubt. When he says something, CNN and other media outlets put the worst spin on it, which makes Trump look bad (if not downright evil). Fortunately, the people who voted for Trump either don't watch CNN at all or, if they do, they know what's going on. Trump has a higher favorability rating than the mainstream media. Perhaps the media don't realize this. By bashing Trump, they increase the likelihood of his re-election in 2020.
