The Democrats won in 2016. Sure, their candidate, Hillary Clinton, lost, but time has demonstrated that they won. The Republican party is in shambles and is divided against itself. Some are ashamed enough of their party that they are either not pursuing reelection or are publicly denouncing its leader.
If Hillary had won, the Republicans would be united and strong in having an enemy to rally against. With Trump, they have an enemy within who is tearing their party apart, not to mention what it is doing to the country.
His total lack of humility, maturity, and self-consciousness make the hubris of Obama look like the meekness of Mother Teresa.
Yes, the Democrats won in 2016. It was just delayed until 2020.
