We have had our season tickets to Arizona Cardinals for 20 years. We proudly support the team, including all players at last Monday night’s game. All honor was given to the flag on the field. As a military brat growing up all over the world and later living in Saudi Arabia, you quickly learn not all can express their voices or actions. To be cursed by a president for doing so is disgusting. This president objected to freedom of speech using foul language. Compare what the National Football League teams do for our country, with Donald Trump’s so-called donations. The NFL (and other athletes) give millions yearly go to charities, including Houston Texans’ defensive end J. J. Watt’s raising $30 million for hurricane victims.
The athletes are leaders in their communities, creating charitable organizations and more. Next time you think of boycotting these athletes, ask yourself who is doing more for our country. It isn’t this president.
