While I have to admire the jaw-dropping audacity of Margaret Moore's statements and alliteration in her Dec. 6 letter, "Tough out Trump's term," I most vehemently disagree with her sentiments. As President Trump is at the helm of the 'ship of state', his sexual and personal misdeeds are even more impermissible, especially in a world leader. Moore's statement, "sexual promiscuity is so common among men of power," is irrelevant, as this is exactly what makes it more reprehensible. This attitude reeks of Stockholm Syndrome and is inexcusable in the current era. Men have a responsibility to act with honor and respect toward women, and we should be held responsible for our actions.
Moreover, while anarchy is chaotic, I would prefer a morally-based anarchy in resistance to Trumpian tactics than a 'grit your teeth and bear it" attitude. The current system has failed the American people on every level, and Trump is the culmination of that failure. Trump's road to unemployment began the day after he was elected, and it will not stop until he is eternally banned from society, preferably after his impeachment in 2018 following the midterm elections.
