Now that President Donald Trump has urged the Pentagon to hold a military parade that coincides with a patriotic holiday, I find myself shaking my head in disbelief.
A parade like this will cost millions and millions of dollars, while at the same time we are barely even giving adequate care and services to our veterans who are returning from war physically and mentally damaged after sacrificing for all of us. Veterans Affairs is in shambles with so many hurting, and that is where the money should be going, not to this outrageous idea to flex our muscles and show off our military strength to the rest of the world.
I am not surprised one bit that this is the brainchild of President Trump, and it goes to show how truly messed up his priorities are.
