John Pepple wonders aloud why newspapers hide their content behind paywalls. I've wondered the same thing. When I try to read the letters to the editor of the St Louis Post-Dispatch, a window pops up denying me access and trying to get me to subscribe. I leave the site immediately. They'd rather not be read than to be read by someone who hasn't paid. That's fine. I have other places to get news.
