In response to the Boston Herald editorial “The Swamp Is Fully Exposed” (April 17), which states that there is no evidence of Donald Trump and his campaign colluding with the Russians: A number of facts seem to be forgotten.
Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn lied about his contacts with the Russians. Then there’s Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ faulty memory of his contacts with the Russians. Former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos lied about his contacts with the Russians. The Trump Tower meeting with the Russians is the most obvious example. If this meeting was as harmless as Mr. Trump would have us believe, then why did he draft a letter that this meeting was about Russian adoption when the facts through emails suggest it concerned dirt on Hillary Clinton?
And now, according to sources cited by McClatchy news service last week, Robert Mueller has evidence that Michael Cohen traveled to Prague in August or September 2016, despite his denials. (The Steele dossier asserted that Mr. Cohen met with Russians in Prague at that time.)
Maybe Mr. Trump isn’t involved in collusion, but that remains to be seen. To say there is no evidence of collusion involving the Trump campaign is embarrassingly ignorant of the facts.
