I have been lied to by the best: Robert McNamara, Henry Kissinger, Richard Nixon—and let me tell you these Trumpys are a bunch of pikers. The thing I learned in my tender days is a liar always tells you the exact opposite of what is real. There was no light at the end of the tunnel, there was treasonous interference in peace talks and Nixon was a crook.
Important fact for liars: Keep your story straight. History works slowly. The truth is harsh when it comes out, and with luck you will be dead by the time it arrives.
These bumblers have told so many conflicting lies, so extravagantly, so publicly, so repetitiously, that Special Counsel Robert Mueller must just be rolling his eyes at each new frantic invention.
I can hardly wait to see what lie tomorrow brings.
