Our democracy is slowly eroding. This president and his administration have shown complete disregard for the Constitution of the United States. They have continually tried to undermine and control the Department of Justice, FBI and the courts.
While the full blame cannot be solely put on the administration, it is my belief that the alt-right is working in unison with the administration to take control of the Republican Party and the United States of America. The traditional Republican Party stands by quietly while this is happening as it fears retribution from Donald Trump’s base at the midterm elections.
We are slowly losing a two-party system as the established Republican Party refuses to accept any responsibility. For our democracy to continue, we must have a two-party system. Otherwise, absolute control of one party will become the norm, and our Constitution will no longer be valid.
I still have hope that the people will recognize this and turn out at the polls to ensure the continuance of this great democratic American experiment.
