There has been a rumor, and I use that term freely, that Donald Trump may win the Nobel Peace Prize if he achieves his mission of getting North Korea to disarm itself of nuclear arms. Really, now, Mr. Trump, our president, the other half of the two boys on the playground who keep one-upping each other? Someone somewhere had a mental vacation for a split second and let this beyond-logic thought escape into the wild world of mass communication.
Mr. Trump win the Nobel Prize for his sixth-grade antics of “my button is bigger than yours”? Then he said about the scheduled summit: Forget it, I am not coming, you are not being nice, you are cheating and not making arrangements that I want. And the latest: As of Friday afternoon, the summit is back on.
The real winner must be the president of South Korea. He has been meeting with the North Korean dictator since January, and there has been no known playground taunting. They seem to act toward each other as two adult men in very important positions.
Mr. Trump did not get North Korea to tear down the nuclear site—South Korea did. Donald Trump + Nobel Prize is a very illogical expression.
