In Agnes Jancosko’s letter in Friday’s paper (Aug. 31, “Troubling Disrespect”), she states that during President Barck Obama’s eight years in office there was none of the hate nor demonstrations that we see directed toward President Donald Trump, even though there were many who didn’t care for Mr. Obama.
The reason, Ms. Jancosko, is that Mr. Obama always conducted himself with dignity and grace. Though he wasn’t perfect, and I didn’t always agree with him, I was never ashamed or embarrassed that he and his family represented my country.
