Someone said that there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. That's exactly right. The wind-chill index was 33º when I set out on my ride this morning and 40º when I returned, three hours later. I was properly dressed, however, so I was never uncomfortable. It didn't hurt that the sun shone brightly the entire way (45.1 miles). I saw only one other bicycle on the ride. I did, however, see a family of three bobcats: a mother and two kittens. This kitten (click to enlarge) approached me as if begging for food. I zoomed in and took his picture. Today's ride gives me 6,353.1 miles for the year. I'm 6.9 miles behind my 20-mile-per-day pace.
