Regarding “Get over it, Democrats” (Letters, Feb. 12): The author complained that he had to put up with former President Barack Obama for eight years, and that now it is the turn of Democrats to put up with President Trump. Say what you will of Obama, he never attacked the free press and never yelled fake news at any news he found not to his liking. Obama also never fell in love with the autocratic ruler of a communist nation, either.
Obama never tinkered with tax laws in order to take from the poor and the middle class to give to the already rich, and Obama never weakened NATO and never caved in to our enemies. Comparing Obama and the person we have in the White House today is like comparing someone with a Ph.D. to someone who failed kindergarten. I would not go there. It is not an argument you can win.
