Here is a scene (a screenshot) from today's Paris-Roubaix classic in northern France. I rose at 2:45 AM to watch the race live on NBC Sports Gold, to which I subscribe. It was riveting. Six hours of hell. Click to enlarge.
Addendum: Here are professional photographs of the race.
Addendum 2: The winner, Belgian cyclist Philippe Gilbert, averaged 26.76 miles per hour over the 159.6-mile course. His elapsed time was 5:58:02.
