My favorite news story of 2019, so far, is “Altered seal” (News of the Day, Business Report, July 26). It seems altogether appropriate that while President Trump was being introduced at conservative group Turning Point USA’s teen summit this week, an altered presidential seal featuring a two-headed eagle clutching golf clubs and “45 is a puppet” in Spanish was projected on a screen behind him.
After all, doesn’t a reality-TV-show-host-turned-president who spends endless hours tweeting, watching TV, playing golf and is perceived by millions of Americans as lacking true substance deserve an artificial presidential seal?
