After reading “FBI’s Gilroy probe: domestic terrorism” (Page One, Aug. 7), which describes how the FBI is investigating the digital media of the gunman who caused multiple deaths and injuries at the Gilroy Garlic Festival, my question is this: Why isn’t the FBI also giving higher priority and resources to investigate whether a U.S. president’s use of social media to spread racial hatred was directly connected to this horrible act of domestic terrorism?
