Regarding “Retreat from Paris” (Editorial, Nov. 6): One of the worst legacies of the Trump era will be this president’s decision to withdraw our nation from the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate Change. How can any of the nearly 200 nations who are remaining in this pact respect the United States anymore? Our nation should be a leader not an observer in all efforts to reduce the harmful emissions that are contributing to global warming. President Trump’s shockingly dismissive attitude toward the future environmental health of our planet can best be summed up in three words from a 1970s song called “Disco Inferno”: Burn, baby, burn.
