Only someone who didn’t watch the Impeachment Hearings could believe there was no quid pro quo, that President Trump did not solicit political favors from the Ukrainian President in exchange for military aid and a meeting at the White House.
The testimony of Alex Vindman, Fiona Hill, Marie Yovanovitch, David Holmes, Ambassador Volker, Bill Taylor and George Kent was as compelling as episodes of an investigative crime series. I felt pride and relief knowing that these individuals have represented our country. They are the antidote to those who say that we should give up on our system of government, that we need a “strong man” to make other nations respect us, and that everyone in government is corrupt.
These men and women are profiles in courage, faith in the Constitution and the rule of law.
Should we expect less of our elected representatives or ourselves?

Note from KBJ: I watched the impeachment hearings and there was no quid pro quo. Have you been watching CNN again, Cynthia?
