The Democrats’ newest made-for-TV investigation into President Donald Trump is turning into another episode of “Looney Tunes,” this time starring Adam Schiff as Wile E. Coyote.
The Democrats seem to spend most of their time plotting some way to capture Mr. Trump, and every one of their schemes blows up in their faces. This is at least the third episode of the same story in the past three years.
First was the Russia hoax, which proved only that it was Democrat Hillary Clinton who may have colluded with the Russians, and the explosion from the Mueller investigation is just beginning to sizzle. It will really catch fire as soon as the inspector general report of the Obama administration’s FBI investigation into Mr. Trump’s 2016 campaign is released. That investigation has been described by some as a coup attempt.
The second act was the Democrats’ failed attempt to destroy Brett Kavanaugh, thus demeaning Mr. Trump. But the stories told by the witnesses were never verified. Legal proceedings against two of the storytellers are ongoing.
And now we have the ever-indignant Mr. Schiff, bringing an assortment of bureaucrats whose feathers have been ruffled by Mr. Trump onto the stage to tell us that no criminal or impeachable activity occurred in his dealings with Ukraine.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Wile E. Coyote blows up again.
