Yesterday evening, Katherine and I watched The Beast (1988), which I own on DVD. I searched for this movie for decades before finally finding it recently. (I happened upon it while watching cable television, probably while on a job interview.) The movie is about the Russian excursion into Afghanistan during the late 1970s and 1980s. A Russian tank gets lost and is pursued by tribesmen. I enjoy the movie not so much because of the fighting, but because of the moral issues it raises. It stars George Dzundza, Jason Patric, Steven Bauer, and Stephen Baldwin.
