It used to be that the American people valued the qualities of honesty, integrity and courage. Even our Constitution was valued. Today, our country has fallen so fast and low that these qualities have become meaningless.
Our politicians have abandoned their oath of office to protect and defend our country. They are more concerned about their re-elections. We have a president who is a habitual liar, and people believe every word he speaks. It is beyond my comprehension that people can believe a person who constantly lies.
With the acquittal, President Donald Trump is free to do whatever he wants. It won’t matter how many laws he breaks, or that our Constitution is destroyed since no one will have the courage to oppose him. I hope the American people will wake up before it’s too late. Throughout U.S. history, our servicemen did not die or shed blood so that our country can be ruled by a dictator and one party in power.
