The March 29 editorial “China Expulsions” is quite critical of China and rightly so: “China’s history with COVID-19 is one of covering up the reality until the virus spread out of control. . . . The people were given no clear guidance early on as the government sought to deny the growing pandemic.”

These exact same statements can be made about President Donald Trump’s two-month denial of the problem or falsely saying it was already under control. Since the number of virus cases in the U.S. has now surpassed that of any other country, I would like to see the Post-Gazette lob the same criticisms toward a president who’s [sic] stupidity and personality have endangered many. For example, the mayor of New Orleans said she would have canceled Mardi Gras if Mr. Trump hadn’t publicly stated that the virus had been contained and was under control.

We elected a president who openly bragged about the fact that he doesn’t read. I guess we’re now again paying the price.

Note from KBJ: Stop projecting your stupidity (and illiteracy) onto President Trump, Richard. Donald Trump is the best thing that ever happened to this country.
