Re: April 5 aricle, “How Abbott’s muddled coronavirus message resonated in a diverse state.”

I have written more than one letter to the editor about the appalling aping the Abbott administration does of the Trump leadership playbook. The governor’s recent proclamation of something that may or may not be a stay-at-home order, and the Statesman’s need to devote nearly a full page and a half to determining whether various people think it may or may not be suggest it’s time once again to call it out.

This is not leadership. It is political pandering. It is shameful. And it is deadly.

Trump and Abbott will both find themselves losing (to death) huge chunks of their bases. Folks who live in rural counties, where the medical infrastructure is limited, will not fare well when the virus reaches them.

Note from KBJ: Both President Trump and Governor Abbott are doing an outstanding job with the Wuhan Flu, Susan. Are you getting your news from CNN?
