Following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sen. Ted Cruz called her “a historic Justice and a legendary advocate.” Sen. John Cornyn made similar lofty statements. But their words are just more hot air. Actions matter. Neither senator really cares about justice, honesty, integrity or precedent because Republicans now take their twisted marching orders from President Donald Trump alone.
Affordable health care, a coherent COVID-19 strategy, financial help for Americans, or the 400-plus bills on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s desk? Forget it! Republicans will not deal with important issues, just to stay in favor with Trump.
It is sickening how much divisiveness, international disrespect, chaos, vindictiveness and corruption Republicans will tolerate just to stay in power. What happened to empathy, compassion and commitment to our core principles? Until these hypocritical Republicans remember and act on such matters, God help us all!

Note from KBJ: You have it exactly backward, Gary. President Trump is uniting the country; other countries now respect us; the Trump administration is committed to law and order; and the corruption of the Obama administration is being brought to light. There is nothing "vindictive" about the Trump administration, unless you think it's vindictive to hold people accountable for their criminal conduct. If I were James Comey, John Brennan, or James Clapper, I'd be worried.
