I had to share this so we can all enjoy it.
One night this week, Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon were having their usual banter on CNN at 9 p.m. as Cuomo’s hour ends and Lemon’s begins, when for the first time they quoted someone using the word “trumpery” to describe President Donald Trump’s latest antics. I thought, “Oh my gosh! I had forgotten trumpery is a word.”
Here is the definition of “trumpery,” which seems to have been perfectly designed for our president, although it predates him and I am quoting from my 1965 Webster’s Dictionary:
“Trumpery: something without use or value; rubbish; trash; worthless stuff; nonsense; twaddle.” “Twaddle,” by the way, means “trivial or foolish speech; nonsense.”
I can’t wait to start using it: “Oh, that’s just more trumpery and twaddle tweeted by our temporary president.”

Note from KBJ: All presidents are temporary, William. Donald Trump, like Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Hussein Obama before him, will serve eight years and then get on with his life. In the meantime, he's making America great again. Let's just say that in the game of poker that is American politics, he holds the trump card.
