As someone who once was passionately interested in the publication of textbooks but has more or less aged out, I can’t help wondering how the schoolbooks of the future (do they even exist today?) will handle this year’s election. I remember way back when the conservative state of Texas used to do its own versions, and many who had to edit them would just groan and shake their more-rational heads. How on earth will they deal with Trump? I won’t be around to find out. Good luck to those who will have to deal with future authors!
