Yesterday evening, Katherine and I watched RED 2 (2013). This is the sequel to RED (2010), which we watched seven months ago. I'll be surprised if there's a RED 3, because eight years have passed since RED 2 and some of the characters are now quite old. (Helen Mirren is 75; Bruce Willis is 65; John Malkovich is 67.) The movie is shot through with violence, but it's so cartoonish that it won't cause nightmares. It has everything a teenage boy loves: car chases, helicopter crashes, shooting sprees, explosions, and a cutie-pie girlfriend. To be honest, it was annoying.
