I had a good month on the bike. I rode all 31 days in July, for a total of 700 miles. That's an average of 22.58 miles per day (and per ride). This month's mileage gives me 4,181 miles for the year, which is an average of 19.72 miles per day. My goal for the year is 7,300 miles (an average of 20 miles per day), so I need to average 20.38 miles per day for the rest of the year. That should be easy. I just need to keep my nose to the grindstone. By the way, today's ride was my 39th consecutive day of riding at least 21 miles. All but one of those rides was 22 miles or more. Did I mention that it's hot in North Texas? The heat index was 105 degrees when I left my house (shortly after one o'clock) and 108 degrees when I returned. I rode 31.4 miles today to get my 700 for the month.
