I had another great month abike. I pedaled 670 miles in 31 days, which is an average of 21.61 miles per day. I rode every day but one: the day in which I had oral surgery to remove a tooth and prepare an implant. Today's 26.8-mile ride gives me 4,851 miles for 2021, which is only nine miles shy of 4,860. What is the significance of 4,860? That's an average of 20 miles per day for the 243 days since the first of the year. My goal for 2021 is to average 20 miles per day, which amounts to 7,300 miles. My bike is holding up well. I feel strong as a bull. I'm looking forward to cooler weather. The heat index was 103 degrees when I left the house today and 106 when I returned.
