Someone should do an empirical study of the following. When an appellate case comes out in favor of conservatives, reporters mention which president appointed the judges. When an appellate case comes out in favor of progressives, there is no mention of the president who appointed the judges. The effect of this disparity is to suggest that judges whose cases please conservatives are biased, whereas judges whose cases please progressives are not biased.
