  • The Nature of the Beast (1981). This is a great album. I have enjoyed it for 36 years.

  • When members of the foreign press were asked to evaluate President Trump’s first 100 days in office, the overwhelming response was ineptitude. Given the series of missteps, reversals, and failure to enact legislation since Inauguration Day, the label in no way strains credulity. White House attempts to spin Trump’s performance, which include blaming Democrats and “fake news,” only reinforce the notion that there is a knowledge deficit in the Oval Office.

There is a fine line between ineptitude and indifference, with the latter leaning more toward ignorance. Despite having access to some of the most strategic thinkers in government, Trump has yet to demonstrate an ability to grasp or effectively articulate policy positions unless they are part of a prepared statement. One can only conclude that not only does he not “know more than the generals,” he may not understand basic governmental processes.

Note from KBJ: Get some help for your Trump Derangement Syndrome, Jim. You're embarrassing yourself. For the first time in eight years, many of us are proud of our president.

  • Bret Stephens is as sleazy, slimy, and vile as any human being I have ever encountered, and believe me, I have encountered some vile people. He deserves the worst.

  • Hillary Clinton reminds us why we opposed her. Why can't she disappear into the woodwork? I think I know the answer. The Clintons crave wealth, power, and attention, and neither Bill nor Hillary has ever accepted responsibility for bad decisions. Both are inveterate liars. Both believe that the end justifies the means. Both are deeply flawed human beings.

  • President Andrew Jackson, who died 16 years before the Civil War started, saw it coming and was angry. Would never have let it happen!
