….”knife crime,” which is totally out of control in London. People are afraid to even walk the streets. He is a terrible mayor who should stay out of our business!

Re “Plan to deport sick children stirs outcry”: Who are we? This can’t be possible. This policy is the final rabbit hole of immorality.
The government of the United States is about to deport families of seriously ill children receiving treatment in this country. Many of these children will die if deported.
It is the last straw, as Donald Trump and Stephen Miller qualify as the “undertakers” of America’s conscience.
Children with complex and life-threatening medical conditions are being treated here under a policy known as “deferred action,” through which they can remain for medical and other humanitarian reasons. Now the administration is ending this policy.
My mother was a physician and surgeon in New York City. Her skills changed the lives of many young people. I am her daughter, with two sons and grandchildren of my own. Now, I must explain to them what we have become as a nation under the aegis of Trump and Miller: “Send me only healthy children to our shores. All others should die at home.”
I ask again, Who are we? America, what is your answer?

I am a registered Democrat but my political views have nothing to do with my party affiliation. I never vote straight party lines, but for those who I think are best qualified for the job. In this case, it was not for the person currently in the White House (nor did I vote for Hillary Clinton, so let me off that hook).
I refer to President Donald Trump as “that person” and not as my president or a man because, to me, he is neither. Every time I think he can’t do anything else to amaze me, he opens his mouth. He insults our allies, their leaders, our U.S. citizens and American cities, and defends the leaders that he is having a bromance with, even the ones who continue to make him look like a bigger fool than he already is (North Korea, Russia).
With Ms. Clinton, it was “lock her up” and with the squad it is “send her back.” All are American citizens and three were born here. If deportation is his answer to our current situation, maybe we should start with wives No. 1 and 3. What a hypocrite. And what is his country of origin?
My mother had a saying: “Going to hell in a hand basket.” Unfortunately that is the direction we are headed, and sharing in the blame are the GOP lawmakers who turn a blind eye and a deaf ear because they are more concerned with their jobs than in what is right, legally and morally. Shame on them all.

Great job by Texas Law Enforcement and First Responders in handling the terrible shooting tragedy yesterday. Thank you also to the FBI, @GregAbbott_TX and all others. A very tough and sad situation!
