The one thing Donald Trump knows is when he’s threatened. He knew that if he were thoroughly investigated, he would be in trouble. “This is terrible,” he said when Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel. “This is the end of my presidency.” But he was wrong. His most powerful impact on the United States of America has been to thoroughly upend our sense of propriety and moral purpose. He’s the one who’s making the trouble. And he continues to do so. He is shameless. He can destroy everything we hold dear because he is rich, powerful, and adept at manipulating our worst instincts. “And they let me do it,” he says.
Just look at the arguments his defenders make. Alan Dershowitz’s writings amount to: If he can get away with it, that’s the end of the story. Case closed.
For many of us, that is not enough. Trump has shown us repeatedly that he is a hollow man—and capable of monumental destruction. Fire and fury indeed. We, as a nation, may be left like the charred hulk of Notre Dame. Still standing, but never the same.

Here is a scene from today's bike ride. Click to enlarge. The buzzards must have found a dead animal. Perhaps a fish, because the creek was flooded for several days. I had a good month abike. I pedaled 591.2 miles, which gives me 2,183.6 for the year. I'm on track for 7,000.

The New York Times has apologized for the terrible Anti-Semitic Cartoon, but they haven’t apologized to me for this or all of the Fake and Corrupt news they print on a daily basis. They have reached the lowest level of “journalism,” and certainly a low point in @nytimes history!
