  • To the editor:

In an Oct. 6 letter to the editor, one writer pointed out to us that anyone critical of President Trump’s allegedly fraudulent tax-dodging behavior should show some concern for the voters that only Trump is willing to pay attention to.

I’ve heard this argument before, but never from someone who will complete the thought and admit openly that these voters who bathe in Trump’s attention consistently vote against their own best interest and seek attention from those who will lie to them.

You can no more help a voter like that than you can help an alcoholic who wants to keep drinking.

  • So nice, everyone wants Ivanka Trump to be the new United Nations Ambassador. She would be incredible, but I can already hear the chants of Nepotism! We have great people that want the job.

  • Let’s consider a scenario. Your boss (for argument’s sake, we will call him Donald Trump) asks you to hire a well-educated, very qualified male for an important job, which he will have for life. However, your daughter (or wife, aunt, niece, mother, partner or female friend) is “100 percent certain” that this man once sexually assaulted her and she was afraid he could have killed her.

When these allegations come to light, the applicant screams, rants and blames others, including people he will need to work with, fully denying them, but admitting to other abhorrent, misogynistic behavior. Members of his profession urge you not to hire this applicant.

After a five-day investigation, “limited in scope” where no witnesses are called, no cross-examination is given, a key witness remains at his beach house, and no full assessment of the facts is completed, you are asked to make a decision.

Would you hire this applicant? Fifty-one senators, including five women, just did. I wonder what they will tell their daughters?

Note from KBJ: How gullible are you, Steve? These women are either mentally ill or lying for political purposes. How can you not see that?
