  • To the editor:

After reading articles on President Trump withdrawing the United States from the Iran nuclear deal and the separation of immigrant children from their parents at the border, I wonder how Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is holding up.

Is she embarrassed when Trump breaks international agreements? Does she worry that other nations will no longer trust us to keep our word? Is she concerned about the honor of the United States and its position as a world leader? Does she wonder if adversaries like North Korea and China will have second thoughts about negotiating with us? Is she confident that allies like Great Britain and France will continue to rely on our leadership?

And how in God's name does she feel about the new U.S. policy of arresting immigrants seeking sanctuary and separating them from their children? Can she really stomach this violation of international law and justify it to her fellow U.N. representatives? Is she ashamed as a mother, a person of goodwill, and our ambassador to the world?

Haley has my sympathy because she has the hardest job in the world.

  • So sad to see the Terror Attack in Paris. At some point countries will have to open their eyes & see what is really going on. This kind of sickness & hatred is not compatible with a loving, peaceful, & successful country! Changes to our thought process on terror must be made.

  • Donald Trump was right about one thing—Vladimir Putin is laughing, but at no one but Mr. Trump himself. He is laughing because Mr. Trump did his dirty work for him: He created a rift between the U.S. and the European Union by failing to extend the nuclear agreement with Tehran. Who knows, maybe Mr. Trump is just doing Mr. Putin’s bidding.

Can Mr. Trump even point to Tehran on a map? For that matter can he point to Pyongyang? Kim Jong Un will be super-prepared for the meeting with Mr. Trump. Will Mr. Trump be? All Mr. Kim has to do is flatter Mr. Trump; he’ll revel in the flattery and pageantry and make sophomoric proclamations that mean less than nothing.

In the April 7 “Saturday Night Live” opening skit, Alec Baldwin played Mr. Trump. He was bored at a news conference with leaders of the Baltic states, and he finally blurts out, “I don’t care about America, OK?” The statement was stunning in its simplicity and truthfulness. In six words, Mr. Baldwin had Mr. Trump pegged to a T. He doesn’t care that steel and aluminum tariffs will cost thousands of American jobs, and he doesn’t care that thousands of American jobs will be lost because of the reinstated sanctions on Iran. He doesn’t care about America—he doesn’t care about immigrants, the environment or climate change.

Mr. Trump cares only about Mr. Trump. To take a page out of his hyperbole playbook—he is the most incompetent, narcissistic, greedy and egomaniacal miscreant who has ever besmirched the office of the president of the United States. It will take years for America to recover from his misdeeds. The Republican leadership has a lot to answer for. The November midterm elections can’t come soon enough.

Note from KBJ: The best part of Donald Trump's being president is that it pisses off the likes of Claudia Broman. Trump is on his way to becoming one of the greatest presidents in American history. Claudia Broman is on her way to becoming insane (if she's not there already).

  • Iran’s Military Budget is up more than 40% since the Obama negotiated Nuclear Deal was reached…just another indicator that it was all a big lie. But not anymore!
