One should never accept anything any philosopher says simply on his authority.(Bernard Gert, “Morality Versus Slogans,” Center for the Study of Ethics in Society 3 [December 1989]: 3-32, at 3)

Of all the goofy and outrageous statements made by Mr. Trump, his latest stance calling for teachers to be armed is perhaps the most ridiculous. As a 30-year veteran of teaching I cannot imagine being asked to police our school. Most highly trained police officers and military personnel struggle under hostile environments. Picture a teacher with a revolver as pandemonium erupts and hundreds if not thousands of students running for their lives as a gunman fires off over 150 bullets a minute? Moreover, what happens when police or SWAT arrives and they see multiple possible suspects with weapons? Teachers, students and staff will be cut down in the crossfire. Clearly, with over $30 million from the NRA spent on behalf of the Trump campaign and his recent comments regarding how close he is to the NRA, our president puppets their party line: more guns and more blood money.

When a country Taxes our products coming in at, say, 50%, and we Tax the same product coming into our country at ZERO, not fair or smart. We will soon be starting RECIPROCAL TAXES so that we will charge the same thing as they charge us. $800 Billion Trade Deficit-have no choice!
