After years of being criticized for being the party of old, rich white guys, the new Republican party under President Donald Trump, has reached out to whole new groups of voters previously ignored by both political parties. Those being: Nice American Nazis, virtuous Klansmen, and good-old-boy pedophiles. With this kind of inclusiveness, who knows how long before the party welcomes rapists and murderers?
Which brings us to U.S. Sen. Al Franken. Franken, who has admitted to several sophomoric harassment accusations, has indicated he will resign his seat in the Senate due to pressure from the Democratic Party. However, there is a way for him to not only keep his seat, but also gain the full support of a political party. And that is: Become a Republican! Not only will he be welcomed by the party, but he'll also be enthusiastically endorsed by the White House. It's a win/win for everyone. Except, perhaps, for the American public.
