This is how democracy is supposed to work. If the New York legislature redefines "marriage" so as to allow two men or two women to marry, the people of the state can decide whether to re-elect their representatives. Unaccountable judges have no business making social policy. Look at what happened in California. Four people in robes imposed homosexual "marriage" on the people of the state, who replied, not surprisingly, by amending the state's constitution to forbid it.
